Church Directory Software Allows The Church To Keep Track Of The Congregation

It is always a good idea to keep track of people within the congregation. You can do this by means of church directory software, which will help you to be able to track each individual, not only on a personal level but also to see what their individual skills are. Many churches use church directory software in order to put out a business listing of those within the congregation. Because many people are comfortable with the people that they attend church with, they will welcome the opportunity to be able to use one of them in a business atmosphere. This is true mainly when you are talking about someone that is performing a service, and also can be very beneficial in making business contacts of all types. What are some things that you should look for when you are trying to pick out church directory software for your own particular congregation?

The first thing that you should look for when you're choosing church to rectory software is that it should be very versatile in the amount of information that you can input. Not everybody wants to use this type of software in order to put out a business directory of people in a particular congregation. Sometimes the leaders of the congregation will want to use the church directory software in order to keep track of individuals in the congregation and to know what they are good at. For example, if somebody owns a gutter business within the congregation and the church needs to work on gutters, they may call on this person before they call on anyone else. Not only can that individual offer a better job than someone else, they may end up doing it at a discount.

Church Directory Software

All of the information that is available about each individual in the congregation should be considered for inclusion within the church directory software. The only time that you would not want to include something is if it is of a personal nature and that individual does not want it known publicly. It is difficult enough to have something kept private within the congregation because of people's inbred desire to talk about other people. It would be a very bad thing if you were to include something very personal within the church directory software and it would get out to everybody in the congregation all at one time. It could end up totally devastating the person that it was referring to.

The last thing that you would want your Church directory software to be able to do is to print out an entire directory of all the members of the congregation in a nice format. This would help people to be able to find what they were looking for at a moments notice. It would also assist in being able to sort things by the various fields within the directory, including phone numbers, last names and interests. By being able to sort the directory within the software you will have an awesome tool at your hands. Not only will you be able to contact each individual member of the congregation at a moments notice, you'll be able to tell what their strengths and weaknesses are and can use that information to help them to grow.

When the Going Gets Tough, Measure the Unmeasurable

By Milton Johanides
An aspect of the free market culture which makes profit king and tries to put a price on everything, is its' inability to consider values that cannot be measured. More than anything, this blind spot has been the cause of its' downfall. Imagine a giant rampaging through town, devouring citizens for food, without being able to distinguish between healthy bodies which provide nutrition and infected bodies which will kill it; or a builder constructing a grand design without testing every aspect of the quality of the materials he is using. Both are heading for disaster. Similarly, an unfettered free market blindly searching for the shortest route to wealth, is going to ignore warning signals. Sometimes, it doesn't even see them.

Separation of Church and State in the Philippines

By Louie Ang
The Philippines has always had a very religious population. Throughout the history of our country, countless religious figures held great roles in driving the political direction of our elected leaders.
