Organizing Your Church's Finances With Church Tithing Software

Many churches depend on donations in order to keep their organization running smoothly. We live in the real world, one where we need to pay such things as mortgages and light bills. For that reason, donations from the congregation are a very important part of keeping the church running at peak level. Some people give whatever they feel that they can, while others have a more specific method of donating. Some people use a type of donation known as tithing. This was instituted during the time when the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness. It involves donating 10% of everything that you have, from the money that you have down to even the smallest of herbs. For that reason, it is sometimes necessary to have some Church tithing software so that you can keep track of these things and also provide the members of your congregation with any information that they need to help them to make their contribution decisions easier.

The method of tithing is certainly not something that is new. Even though it is not a scriptural requirement to tithe any longer, it is still necessary to have some kind of help in order to know what you should donate. Many people use the tithing system in order to make sure that they are giving something each and every week to the congregation. Some weeks they may have more to give than others, but each week they are able to give 10% of whatever they have earned. Tithing software can work well for both the members of the congregation and those who look after the congregation as well. If someone has offered to specifically give 10% of all of their earnings to the church, the Church tithing software could keep track of what they earned and what they gave. This is not meant as a way to shame the person into giving more, it simply is to aid them in being able to keep up with their promise.

Church Tithing Software

One of the most popular ways, however, that Church tithing software is used is for personal use. Many times there are software packages available that will allow an individual or a family to be able to track their tithing so that they make sure that they give what they want to the church. Not only can these software packages be found for use on the PC, they can also be used on a PDA in order for them to be easily accessible at any time. What these programs to, basically, is to allow an individual to keep track of all of their income and anything else that they received during the month. It will then track the full amount that they took in, in order to figure out what 10% would be. This is the 10% that they would then donate to the church.

So it doesn't matter if you are an individual or in charge of running an organization, having a good tithing software package will help you to be able to take care of the task of donations a little bit easier. You can either have this software as a stand-alone piece or bundled in with other church software in order to have your organization run as smoothly as possible.

For many of us, we would like to see our young people develop skills that can not be built as just a seasonal employee. Skills such as resource and skills planning, negotiation skills, expense management, time management and establishing work/life balance are just some that we can expect teenagers to be able to learn by establishing themselves a holiday business - which, of course, could be extended to part time work should the industry and study commitments allow for it. This article looks at just some of the opportunities for work and the skills they can develop from this.

When the Going Gets Tough, Measure the Unmeasurable

By Milton Johanides
An aspect of the free market culture which makes profit king and tries to put a price on everything, is its' inability to consider values that cannot be measured. More than anything, this blind spot has been the cause of its' downfall. Imagine a giant rampaging through town, devouring citizens for food, without being able to distinguish between healthy bodies which provide nutrition and infected bodies which will kill it; or a builder constructing a grand design without testing every aspect of the quality of the materials he is using. Both are heading for disaster. Similarly, an unfettered free market blindly searching for the shortest route to wealth, is going to ignore warning signals. Sometimes, it doesn't even see them.

Separation of Church and State in the Philippines

By Louie Ang
The Philippines has always had a very religious population. Throughout the history of our country, countless religious figures held great roles in driving the political direction of our elected leaders. A few examples would be the induction of the former president Joseph Estrada and his ousting with the EDSA 2 revolution where leaders from El Shaddai and the Catholic Church urged the people's decision on who to put in the seat of power.
